David Wilhide Obituary
He was born in Waynesboro to the late William and Evelyn (Calimer) Wilhide and was the husband of Joyce (Smith) Wilhide. Dave shared 57 loving years of marriage with Joyce, passing on their anniversary.
Dave had many unique opportunities to travel, due to his job in fire truck sales. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, NASCAR, and was a die-hard Washington Redskins fan. Dave had many beloved dogs, especially Porter.
In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by Charles "Chip" (Shari) Prinz, who he thought of as a son, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Wilhide, Jack Wilhide and a sister, Roberta Lanehart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM, at Old Republic Distillery, 3 Dutchland Ave, Ephrata. A second Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 12 to 5 PM, at Rescue Hose Company #1, 841South Washington Street, Greencastle, PA, where Dave was a life member.
Memorial contributions in David's memory may be made to Heart Strings, C/O Terri Young, 15077 Lurgan Road, Orrstown, PA 17244.
