David Ronald Williams

David Ronald Williams, of Rolla, MO, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the age of 85.
He was born on January 9, 1939 in Rolla, MO to the late Thomas Guy Williams and Alpha Melissa (Hance) Williams. On August 5, 1956, he married Loretta (Brickman) Williams. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2024.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Lucas Flint; and a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Velma Williams.
David Williams loved both his wife of 68 years and his family very much. He was a man of many interests and talents. David loved gospel and country music. David and Loretta spent many happy summers at the Lake of the Ozarks fishing for crappie and catfish. After his retirement, David and Loretta enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and spent many happy winters in Texas where they took up square dancing and David also learned to do wood carving. Many of his children and grandchildren have cherished woodcarvings that David did for them.
David will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: four children, Richard Williams and wife, Brenda of St. Louis, MO, Lori Flint and husband, Dan of Rolla, MO, Ronald Williams and wife, Betty of Erie, KS, and Lana Croft and husband, David of Rolla, MO; eight grandchildren, Nathan Williams, Nikki Pacheco, Josh Flint, Meredith Flint Sowers-Koen, Ron Williams, Kate Williams, Kylie Croft, and Maggie Croft-Pixler; and nine great grandchildren, Tucker, Lemon, Linus, Brooklyn, Nico, Sophia, Emma, Ben, and Beckett.
A funeral service for David R. Williams will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
