David Ray Williams, 64, passed away on July 31, 2025, in Hartford, Michigan. Born on May 23, 1961, in Afton, Oklahoma, David lived a life rooted in family, tradition, and the simple joys that brought people together-especially around the dinner table.

David was the beloved husband of Kim Williams and a devoted father to his daughter Kelsey Saldana and her husband Bert Saldana Jr. He took great pride in his role as Papa to Amelia and Francisco Saldana, cherishing every moment spent with them. David is also survived by his sisters Rexanna (James) Douthit, Diana (Gary) Culver, Brenda Clark-Winton, and Stephanie Fried. David also held close relationships with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who enriched his life. Among these were two honorary nieces who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father Virgil Williams; mother Patricia Vanderham; stepmother Jeannie Martin; and grandparents Waldo H. and Ophelia "Velie" (Woody) Williams and Corban and Leona (Albro) Newman.

David had a passion for cooking that brought warmth and flavor to countless gatherings. Whether preparing meals for loved ones or experimenting with new recipes just for fun, he found joy in sharing food as an expression of care and connection.

His memory will live on through the many lives he touched-with laughter shared over meals, stories told across generations, and the enduring love of those who knew him best.

May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
