David Lee Williamson, 73, of Calhoun, Louisiana passed away on November 17, 2025, at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, Louisiana.
David was born on July 10, 1952, in Marion, Louisiana to Frances Smith Williamson and PW Williamson. He was a retired truck driver for many years and enjoyed working and being on the road. David loved to go fishing and enjoyed singing as many people felt especially his family that he had a good voice. He was also very funny and loved making people laugh; he was all these things, but his main joy was his family and his partner in crime his baby dog "Willie". David was a great husband, father, and brother but he especially loved his grandchildren and the apple of his eye, his great grandchild, Birdie. He loved life, he enjoyed working and he was a family man that will be missed but never forgotten.
David was preceded in death by his beloved mother-in-law, Verdie Underwood Lenard; his parents, PW and Frances Williamson, siblings, Kay Williams, Larry Rogers and Sharon Stevens.
David is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Linda Underwood Williamson of Calhoun; children, Angel Williamson of Calhoun, Robbie Williamson and his wife Tammie of Calhoun and Mandy Orr and her husband Mark of Calhoun; sisters, Laurine Bridges of Farmerville and Rhonda Vermillion and husband Jackie of West Monroe; three grandchildren, Olivia Daroz and her husband Carlos of Calhoun, Noah Williamson and his girlfriend Kaitlyn of Calhoun and Cooper Williamson of Calhoun; one great grandchild, Birdie Daroz of Calhoun; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members who loved him dearly.
A Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 20, 2025, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
