David L. Wilmot, age 85 of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Dimensions Living in Sheboygan.
David was born on July 2, 1940 in Pontiac, MI, son of the late Lester C. and Alice R. (Taylor) Wilmot. He grew up in the Pontiac, MI area and was a 1958 graduate of Cass Lake Technical School. David worked in the automobile assembly industry, five years for the Ford Motor Company, and 30 years for General Motors, retiring at the age of 59. On October 23, 1987, David was married to Judy L. Braatz in Clarkston, MI. In 1999, the couple moved to Plymouth, WI to help take care of Judy's mother. He was a member of the UAW Local No 653 and enjoyed working in the outdoors, especially his yard.
Survivors include his loving wife: Judy Wilmot, Plymouth; two daughters: Candice Parada, Waterford, MI, Linda Hitchcock, Charleston, SC; two step-children: Brenda (Glen) Stephens, Plymouth, James DeLisle, New Haven, MI; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Janice Verdeyen, Lake Orion, MI, Victoria (John) Rich, Muskegon, MI, Muriel (Jesse) Frausto, Sheboygan Falls, Dorothy (John) Selak, Plymouth, Stephen Braatz, AuTrain, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Alice Wilmot; stepmother: Elissie Wilmot; his father and mother-in-law: Everett and Edith Braatz; four brothers and one sister-in-law: Lester (Patricia) Wilmot, Raymond Wilmot, Donald Wilmot, Daniel Wilmot and Edith Ranta.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, 123 South Street, Plymouth, on Wednesday, November 12, from 10:30 a.m. until 12 Noon. At 12 Noon, there will be a brief service to honor David.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated for Dimensions Living in Sheboygan, WI in David's name.
