Jaclyn Helen Wilmot Beloved Daughter, Mother, and Friend
Jaclyn Helen Wilmot, a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and beloved friend, passed away on October 27, 2025.
Born in Santa Monica, California, Jaclyn moved to Houston in 1990 and grew up in the Katy area, where she touched countless lives with her kind heart, generous spirit, and radiant warmth. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A true visionary with an eye for beauty and design, Jaclyn founded Urban Nest & Company, a residential construction and design firm known for its timeless style and thoughtful approach. Through her work, she transformed spaces into homes-remodeling and reimagining them with both classic elegance and contemporary flair.
Those who knew Jaclyn will remember her as loving, kind, and endlessly genuine, with a sense of humor that could light up any room. She was always ready to listen, to laugh, or to lend a helping hand, touching lives with her authenticity and grace.
Jaclyn's greatest joy in life was her children, Madeleine and Olivia Wilmot, whom she loved beyond measure. She also leaves behind her mother, Mimi Burke; sister, Katrina Mahshi Hargrove; brother-in-law Brandon Hargrove; uncle & aunt, Michael and Lisa Burke; aunts Patty Burke, Kitty Burke, and Sheila Burke; uncle Rob Burke; and cousins Cameron Burke, Ramzi Shalabi, and Alexander Tellez, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Jane S. Burke, grandfather Dean Burke, sister Lauren Christina Mahshi, and Cousin Christian Andrew Burke.
Jaclyn's life was a beautiful blend of kindness, creativity, and love-a light that continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life honoring Jaclyn will be held in the spring of 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
