Victor Hernandez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Hernandez, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who left this world on November 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on March 30, 1976, in Mexico, Victor embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication throughout his life. He was 49 years old at the time of his passing.

Victor was the cherished son of Paula Mauricio Hernandez. Victor is survived by his loving wife, Olivia Velasquez Hernandez, whom he married in Chicago, Illinois, in a bond that would last a lifetime. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and warmth. Victor was a proud father to two wonderful sons, Jonathan and Christopher Hernandez, who he adored and supported in all their endeavors. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Paula, and his sister, Adela Mauricio, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Victor spent his professional life as an Operations Manager for Rooms to Go, where he was known for his dedication and exceptional work ethic. His commitment to his job was matched only by his love for his family, and he was always there to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement.

Outside of work, Victor was a man of many interests. He had a profound love for the color blue and found joy in the simplest pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying delicious Mexican food or working on his truck. He was not only a hard worker but also a dreamer who loved to go on rides and feel the rain on his face. His passion for boxing and the series "Yellowstone" brought him much joy, and he had a special place in his heart for horses, often found wearing his favorite jackets as he took in the beauty of life around him.

Victor was known by all as a dedicated family man who poured his love into every relationship. He was a steadfast friend and a source of strength for those lucky enough to know him. His legacy will live on through the countless memories he created and the love he shared with family and friends.

A visitation with family and friends will take place on November 7, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember the incredible man Victor was, sharing stories and laughter as they reflect on the indelible mark he left on their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Victor's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing his tradition of giving back and uplifting those around him.

Victor Hernandez was a rare soul whose kindness, humor, and love will be deeply missed but forever cherished. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved beyond measure.
