Carolyn Brigham Obituary

Carolyn "Suzie" Brigham passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1938, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Nora Dills Brown and James "Poppy" Brown.
Suzie grew up in Durant, Oklahoma, and later made her home in Dallas, Alvin, and Katy, Texas. She graduated from Durant High School in 1956. Suzie married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Brigham, and together they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and strong faith.
Family was the center of Suzie's world. She took great joy in supporting her children and grandchildren, and especially loved watching them participate in all their activities. Suzie had a beautiful singing voice and found great happiness in sharing her gift of music with others.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Leslie, Lisa Derouen and husband Troy, Paul Brigham and wife Vicki, Nancy Brigham, and Tony Brigham and wife Susie; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Suzie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Brigham; her granddaughter, Christi Derouen; and her parents, Nora Dills Brown and James "Poppy" Brown and siblings Cleo Ivy, Rip Ivy, Juanita Ivy Reed and Annabelle Foster.
Pallbearers will be Tony Brigham, Troy Derouen, David Derouen, James Brigham, Josh Brigham, and Paul Brigham.
Suzie will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the warmth and joy she brought to everyone around her.
