Born in Laverne, Oklahoma on September 11, 1936, to Ben and Hazel Barker. She went home to meet her Lord and Savior on December 1, 2025, at home at the age of 89.
She started school in Laverne, Okla. Accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age with the desire to live her life serving him by playing the piano and singing. The family moved to Enid, Okla. In high school she served for two years in the ROTC program, she returned to Laverne to finish her Senior year of high school and graduated in 1954. She spent two years at Bob Jones University, then attended two years at Apostolic Faith Bible School. She then attended TWA Flight Attendant School and briefly served as a Stewardess before returning to the Apostolic Faith Bible School as a teacher.
She married Jim Fox on Friday the 5th of May 1961 at the Apostolic Faith Church in Laverne, Okla. She and Jim had their daughter DeAnn and son David, she loved playing the piano, singing, teaching and working with kids of all ages to spread Jesus with all she encountered. She and Jim loved to open their home to gospel travelers, friends, family, youth and church family for meals and fellowship. She loved supporting the mission work and had a true passion for the India Gospel Outreach and the long-time friendship with the Abraham Family.
LaMoyne was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Hazel Barker, husband Jim Fox, daughter DeAnn Blackwell, and grandson Cole Fox. Also preceding her in death was her brother Raymond Barker, and sisters, Lorraine Fullbright, Euteva Gregory and Texanna Allen.
LaMoyne is survived by her son, David Fox and daughter in-law Trina. Her grandchildren Natheniel Hacker, wife Amanda, sons Bentley and Rhett; Alan Fox, wife Jessica and daughter Addison; Rachel Blackwell, husband Jeremy Johnson, son Brayden Blackwell and daughter Nora Johnson; Ty Blackwell; and Emily Different, husband Drew, sons Levi and Lucas.
