David C. Woodhall, age 80, of Akron, passed away peacefully at his home on March 8, 2025. He was born on April 27, 1944 to the late Charles and Betty. He graduated from Field High School. After high school, he went on to work for Goodyear where he eventually retired.
He was a longtime member of First EC Church of Akron, OH.
David is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Velma; children, Anthony, Joseph (Nadine), Faith (Brad), Herald, Suzy and NHUNG-Le; grandchildren, Alexandra, Morgan (Dakota), Mitchell, Alex (Laura), Aubrey, Evan, Sarah and Randy-Do; great-grandchildren, Essie, Peyton, Amelia and Connor; siblings, Diane, Deb (Bill) and D'Rae (Lynn); as well as many other family members and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 12pm until 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305). David's Funeral Service will begin at 1pm with Pastor Mike Lewis officiating. He will then be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park (1025 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First EC Church of Akron (369 E. Woodsdale Avenue, Akron, OH 44301) or to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
