"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
David Wayne Worth, Jr. passed away January 7, 2025, at the age of 50. Visitation will be held Monday at 2-4pm at Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home in Sanford, service to follow.
He was a fifteen year resident of Sanford, NC. David truly knew that it was more of a blessing to give than to receive. His generosity knew no bounds in life. David was a loving son, brother, husband, nephew, uncle, and cousin who would help anyone in need. His radiant smile lit up any room he entered. Before his health issues significantly declined, David enjoyed traveling, writing, and spending time enjoying nature with his two beloved Jack Russell terriers. He lived life to the fullest as long as he was able and loved those within his circle very deeply.
David was born on May 18, 1974, to Marcella Chavez and David Wayne Worth, Sr. on a military base in Landstuhl, Germany. He spent time growing up in Cheyenne, Wy, Pocomoke City, MD, and Chicago, Il. After David graduated from Cheyenne East High School, he served his country with pride in the army before pursuing a dual career in finance and computer programming. His sharp mind and analytical skills served him well, and he thrived within his field.
Although David is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife Shari Worth; stepchildren Shayna Einsig, and Robert Howell; parents Marcella and Daniel Romero; sister Irene Massingill; nieces Alexis Pennington and Alyssa Schaffer; aunts Christine Bustos; Beatrice Vigil; Rosemary Steinhauer ; Josie Lavato ; and Uncle Johnny Chavez, as well as multiple cousins and dear friends in the Cheyenne area.
