David Franklin Young

Frankfort – David Franklin Young, age 79, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Mike Napier officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Mr. Young was born in Frankfort on April 4, 1944, to the late Franklin Perry Young and Jessie Catherine Burge Young. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Chris Young (Monica Adair) and Jennifer Young-Southerland; siblings, Larry Young (Lee), Allen Young (Penny), and Renee Young Bray (Robert); grandchildren, Lindsi Nichols, Nick Young, and Paige Young; great -grandchildren, Braylen Dews, Ivy Young, and Kingston Nichols. He was also blessed with several nieces and nephews as well as his caregiver and special friend, Dee Quire.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Catlett Young.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Dews, Brian Burge, Matt Young, Caleb Young, Stephen Young, and Wesley Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Young, Braylen Dews, and Jeff Young.
Flowers are welcome and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
