Fred Lynn Pentecost

On October 30, 2025, the angels came to welcome the husband of Helen Pentecost, Fred, to his forever home. Fred Lynn Pentecost, age 71, passed away at home from lung cancer. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Napier officiating. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Mr. Pentecost was born in Henderson, KY on June 10, 1954, to the late Fred and Elizabeth Pentecost and in 1965 his family relocated to Frankfort, KY. Fred was a graduate of Franklin County and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Mr. Pentecost was an employee at AT&T as a Service Consultant and retired from AT&T.
Mr. Pentecost married his wife Helen in October 2003. They shared 22 years full of memories between their children, watching UK basketball with our group at OPD, attending auctions and enjoyed spending time with our numerous grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Hockensmith.
He is survived by his wife Helen, and children, Jon Pentecost, Brandon Bingham (Lizzy), Justin Bingham (Sosila) and grandchildren, Tucker Pentecost, Shawn Pentecost, Seth Pentecost, Devin Bingham, Natalie Bingham, Tyler Bingham, and Austin Bingham; and also, his sister, Jan Pentecost (Brian).
