David Zadra left his family on Monday, May 13, 2024, age 79, after a long illness. David leaves behind his dear wife Kathy Zadra of 40 years. He is further survived by his daughter Carey (Aimee) Richardson-Zadra. Also survived by brother-in-law Stephen (Sharon) Ruhl; grandchildren McKenzie Richardson-Zadra and Kyle Reichert; niece Sandy Novesky, nephew Rick Novesky, niece Tracy Sanders, niece Lisa Crawford, nephew Ken Kirchen, niece Cathy Ruhl, nephew Ken Ruhl, nephew Brian Ruhl, nephew Michael Ruhl, nephew Dan Murray, and niece Pam Kuby. Preceded in death by his sisters Norma and Alberta; brother-in-law James Ruhl; and son Jeffrey.
Dave really enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing music. Dave was a founding member of the rock'n'roll band The Chevrons, started out playing guitar and lead vocals, until he left the band to raise a family. Dave would return to the band after a number of years as vocalist and bass guitar player. The Chevrons played locally for over 40 years. While Dave loved to fish, he always wished he caught bigger and more fish. Dave was a member of the Greenfield Golf Club.
Dave and Kathy took annual trips to Door County for over 30 years and vacationed many winters with Kathy's brother Steve and sister-in-law Sharon on warm-weather trips. Dave was a retired State Farm Agent after 40 years of service. Dave would volunteer his time at the New Berlin Food Pantry.
Services will be held at a future date.
