Dawn Jeanette Keitz

Dawn Jeanette (Caswell) Keitz passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the age of 87.

Born January 31, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. Caswell Sr., and Margarite (Boyle) Caswell. Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Keitz Sr.; her son, Thomas P. Keitz, Jr., and her brother, Harold "Hal" Caswell Jr.

Dawn was a lifelong resident of Milford, MI having graduated from Milford High School in 1956, and marrying her husband, Tom, in 1959 at a historic 1903 stone church in the village.

A lover of books and reading, Dawn worked for many years at both the Highland and Milford Public Libraries. She was also an avid fan of antiques, history and all things "Milford", and was involved with the Milford Historical Society, the Oak Grove Cemetery, the Mont Eagle Bridge Project as well as the restoration of the Ford Powerhouse. Anyone who knew Dawn was aware of her love for flower gardening, jewelry, eclectic fashions, Ireland and her family.

Dawn is survived by her brother, Mark (Monique); sister-in-law, Theresa Caswell; nephews, Aaron, Craig (Jaclyn) Caswell; nieces, Amy (Eric), Carrie, Krystal (Jeff), and grandnephew, Hunter, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A graveside service for family and friends is planned for Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00am at the Oak Grove Cemetery (Milford), immediately followed by a luncheon at The Milford American Legion Post 216 Hall.
