Dawn Elaine “Cookie” Kennedy, 77, of Moultrie, died Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.  Immediately following the service, the family will have a balloon release in memory of Cookie.

Born on September 2, 1946, in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gordon K. Thomas and Dorothy I. Becker Thomas. She found joy and fulfillment in her work, making a positive impact on the lives of those she served. Dawn's love for her daughter and two grandchildren knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her family, always putting their needs above her own. Her selflessness and unwavering support will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Nelson Thomas, Sr., and Bruce Thomas.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberly Woodlief of Moultrie; grandchildren, Camden Lee Woodlief and wife Jordan, and Haven Lee Woodlief; her special pet and companion, Boozie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
