Mrs. Lee was born in Marion, a daughter of Frances Brown Drew and the late Frank W. Drew. She had her Master's in Education and was a retired school teacher, having taught in Marion County Schools for 33 years. Dawn was also a faithful member of Ariel Baptist Church, where she served as VBS Director and taught Children's Sunday School. She was a loving wife, mom, and nana.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Frances Brown Drew of Rains, are her husband, Donnie Lee of the home; daughters, Jamie Lee Collins (Robert Lance Collins) of Marion and Summer Lee Smith (Justin Smith) of Mullins; grandchildren: Violet Collins and Leevi Collins of Marion and James Gregory Smith of Mullins; brothers, Weston Drew (Pat Drew) of Rains and Thomas "Tommy" Drew (Melissa Drew) of West Columbia; sisters, Demaris "Peaches" Thomas (Billy Thomas) and Dixie Drew all of Marion; as well as many nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law Wanda Lee of Marion; and sister-in-law Kim Lee Becka (Scott Becka)
