Dawn was born on August 16, 1970, in St. Martinville. She exhibited an innate passion for the beauty of the world around her. Her creativity was evident through the multiple projects she took on, from gardening to decoration and restoration projects. Dawn always saw the potential of things, never took anything at face value. Each piece she created was not just a representation of her artistic ability, but a glimpse into her soul, showcasing her love for beauty and expression.
Her love extended to her family, friends and her dog Handsome (who will miss his home cooked meals). Dawn was more than just a person; she was a spirit that brought joy and kindness wherever she went. Her laughter could fill a room, and her compassion touched the hearts of many.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Granger; sons, Timothy Granger, Jr. and Colby Leblanc (Viridiana); daughter, Jamie Covington; mother, Glenda Maturin; sisters, Demetria Rice (Michael), Danielle Maturin (Chris), Brandi Maturin, and Heather Boles (Michael); grandchildren, Jayden Leblanc, Jackson Leblanc, Chloe Covington and Kamryn "Tiler" Covington; nephew, Scott Maturin (Beth); niece, Brittany Morgan; and many others, aunts, Gloria Boudreaux, Margaret Comeaux and Penny Broussard; and her uncles, Norris Thibodeaux, Michael Myers, Wakely Maturin, Dennis Maturin and Norris Maturin.
She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Maturin; aunts, Nora Norris, Delores Menard, Catherine Maturin, Yvonne Maturin, Maydel Louviere and Ruby Nell Leblanc; and her uncles, Edmond Myers and Audley Maturin.
