Dawn Marie Reynolds, aged 58, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at Doey's House for Hospice patients in Hagerstown, MD. Born in New York City on November 9, 1965, Dawn grew up in Maryland, graduating from Arundel High School in 1983. She pursued her passion for learning at Towson University and Johns Hopkins University, earning degrees in 1987 and 1993.
Dawn began her professional career as a software trainer and support specialist for Smith, Abbott & Company and THINQ. Later she spent time serving others through her work at Skycroft Conference Center, Meritus Hospital and the Washington County Commission on Aging, where she made meaningful contributions to her community.
She was known for her gentle nature and deep love for animals. Dawn was a devoted Disney enthusiast, and she delighted in frequent visits to Disney parks, sharing magical experiences with her family and friends. She cherished spending time with family and friends and followed her favorite TV programs with enthusiasm.
Dawn is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Reynolds; her father, Michael DeLucia; her sisters, Lynn Lipsey (Curtis), Christine Auciello (Dan); her sister-in-law, Maria DeLucia, her in-laws Harry and Patricia Reynolds, sister-in law Carol Breeze (Peter Regan), and brother-in-law Bradley Reynolds (Brenda); along with many treasured nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Monica DeLucia, and brother, Michael DeLucia, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to honor Dawn's life on Saturday, November 2, 2024. A celebration of Dawn's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Avenue, Smithsburg, MD. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dawn's name to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or to Hospice of Washington County, reflecting her love for animals and her compassionate spirit.
