Dawn L. (Mueller) Weaver, age 77, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be from 2:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 19 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids with a Rosary service at 5:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass on Monday at the church.
Dawn was born November 21, 1946 in Wisconsin Rapids to Myron and Alma (Raguse) Mueller. She married Jim Weaver on May 30, 1987 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
She worked at CW Transport in Wisconsin Rapids from 1964 until they closed. She later worked at TJs Restaurant and Grandma's Café in Wisconsin Rapids.
Dawn was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and their Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and working local elections.
Dawn loved to knit and crafted afghans to welcome every new family member. She enjoyed sitting on the front deck watching the birds at the feeders. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewers Fan and rarely missed watching on a game on TV. She also enjoyed attending Brewers games, Rapids Rangers games, and attending her nephew's sporting events.
Dawn is survived by her husband Jim; sister, Marla Mueller of Wisconsin Rapids; brother, Gary (Sue) Mueller of Eau Claire and their children Missy (Lew) Lambrecht of Grafton and Scott Mueller of Eau Claire; brother, Todd (Nancy) Mueller of Kildeer, IL and their children Luke Mueller of Costa Mesa, CA and Courtney (Andrew) Dyer of Chicago; brother-in-law, Robert Hofschild and his children Nicole (Doug) Abel and Carissa (Greg) Abel, both of Missouri; 3 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; and many friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Hofschild; and in-laws: Granville and Manona Weaver and brother-in-law Bill Weaver.
