 Services for Dawn R. Wulf, age 59, of Paullina who passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Sunset Hospice in Worthington, Minnesota. Her funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Sutherland Church of Christ with Pastor John Erickson, officiating.

 Burial will be at Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland.

 Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

 DAWN R. WULF

 

 Dawn Rochelle Wulf, age 59, entered eternal rest on September 27, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Up until the end Dawn maintained her kindness, compassion, and her love for her family and friends.

 Dawn never met a stranger, leaving everyone she came in contact with better than she found them. No matter where she ran into you, she would greet you with the biggest smile and she let her joyful personality do the rest, being the bright spot in many people’s day. 

 Dawn was born August 23,1965 to Hugh (John) and Brenda (Conrod) Mayne, in Pueblo, Colorado. She received her education and graduated from Greeley West High School in 1983. She married Leon Maris on August 24, 1988, in Greeley, CO and helped raise his three sons. Leon and Dawn later moved to Imperial, NE and together had two children, Chelsea and Jace. The four moved to Paullina in 1996. The couple later divorced in 1999. Leon preceded Dawn in death on July 5, 2004. Dawn remained in Paullina and worked at the local grocery store, United Foods. During her career she also worked at the Orange City Hospital, Pride Group, Car-Go Express, and lastly Producers Coop. On June 9, 2007, Dawn was united in marriage to Mario Wulf in Aurelia. They merged their families, becoming a family of 8, with three sons and three daughters. Together they lived outside of Paullina and enjoyed gardening, camping, riding motorcycle, and all their dogs, including her protector, Maggie. Dawn passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, reaching the age of 59 years, 1 month, and 4 days.

 Left to cherish her memory are the people whom she held closest; her husband, Mario, and children Chelsea (Michael) Fisch, Jace Maris, Jon Wulf, Jeremy (Ashley) Wulf, Jamie (Eric) Riedemann, Melinda (Mark) Wester, Justin Maris, Scott (Breanna) Brethauer, and Ryan (Melissa) Brethauer. Her grandchildren; Talan Maris, Brantley and Brecken Maris, Zoey and Hadley Wulf, Tyson (Annika), Taylor, and Tawni Wulf, Kirstin (Case) Moermond, Brock (Kenna), Boston, and Brady Riedemann, Jordan Wulf, Jaxtan and Asher Wester, Kayden and Kaleb Maris, Bayzley and Ryker Brethauer, Axton, Rowyn, Beauden, and Addilynn Brethauer. And her great-grandchildren Kyra and the newest baby Wulf. Her siblings, Rae (Charlie) Patterson, Jesse (Brenda) Orcutt, Eric (Erin) Mayne, Jessica (Chris) Cook, Zach (Nicole) Mayne, Maddie (Joe) Hertle, Robin (Steve) Trujillo, CD (Tina) Orcutt and many other relatives.

 Dawn also leaves behind many “bonus” children and grandchildren who knew her as Mama Dawn and Grandma. She was adored and cherished by so many and has left an everlasting impact on every heart she has touched.

 Dawn will be reunited in Heaven with her grandparents, parents, ex-husband, Leon Maris, Brother-in-law, Devon Maris, and great-granddaughter, Lily Wulf, who everyone knows she will be snuggling the first chance she gets.
