Daxton Lee Applegate

Daxton Lee Applegate of Hillsdale, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on April 10, 2009, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the son of Kathy Applegate and Jon Hollingsworth.
He is survived by his parents, Kathy Applegate and Jon Hollingsworth; grandparents, Kevin and Connie Applegate, Raymond Hollingsworth and Tamara Thorp; great-grandmother, JoAnne Miller; two aunts, Candy (Eli) Timberman and Alaina Hollingsworth; three uncles, Christopher (Brandy) Hollingsworth, Tim Hollingsworth and Noah (Haley) Spence and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in passing by his great-grandparents, Byron Miller and Bill and Evalyn Applegate.
Daxton was a "Good Ole Boy" who loved being outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, mini biking, and all other things outdoors. He also loved reptiles, sharks, horses, Dodge trucks, old country music, X-Box, occulus, his family and friends, his church, the Bible, God and America. And he would always say, "it's God and country."
A funeral service to honor the life of Daxton Lee Applegate, will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Hillsdale. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
