Dea (Michelucci) Prisk, 89, of Enfield, beloved wife of Philip Prisk, entered into eternal peace surrounded by family on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Born on June 6, 1935 in Tunisia, North Africa, she was the daughter of the late Gastone Michelucci and Maria (Cini) Michelucci. Dea was raised in Livorno, Italy, where her deep-rooted love for family and tradition flourished. In 1955, she immigrated to the United States with her family and eldest son, beginning a new chapter filled with love and dedication to her family.
Dea's life revolved around those she cherished. Known for her culinary skills, she delighted in preparing meals that brought everyone together, sharing warmth and laughter around the dinner table. Many precious moments were spent with her grandchildren making pizza dough and other Italian cuisine. She passionately raised her children to learn her culture and her native Italian language. As a former seamstress, she lovingly passed down her sewing skills to her grandchildren, creating cherished memories and handmade treasures.
In her later years, Dea embraced the digital age and learned to navigate social media, using it to stay connected with family across the Atlantic through heartfelt Facebook posts and shared photos. She and her husband also loved to travel, spending summers at the beaches of Newport, RI, and enjoying the cooler months in Ft. Myers, FL.
In addition to her beloved husband, Philip, Dea is survived by her five cherished children, Romeo St. Pierre, Sandra Petronella and her husband John, Donald St. Pierre and his wife Patty, Janette St. Pierre, and Linda St. Pierre; her eight precious grandchildren, Richard and Michael St. Pierre, Holly and Joseph Petronella, Leah Vance, Dan Molino, and Samuel and Tyler St. Pierre, and six great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Susan Chiarappa, Eric Prisk, Steven Prisk, and Pamela Bergamini; and numerous relatives and friends, both here and in her native Italy. In addition to her parents Gastone and Maria, she was predeceased by her dearly missed grandson, Benjamin St. Pierre, and her brother, Giusseppe Michelucci.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd, Enfield. Please meet at the church.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
