George D. Archambault Jr.

George Dewey Archambault, Jr., 93, of Somers, CT, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 14, 1932, in Cabot, VT, son of the late George and Clemma (Badger) Archambault, Sr. After graduating from high school, George enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and United Nations Service Medal in recognition of his service. Upon returning home, George met and married the love of his life, Louise (Lastrina) Archambault, and together they raised their family in Somers. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose greatest joy was time spent with his loved ones. George is survived by his beloved wife Louise, and their children: George Archambault III and his wife Kim, Steve Archambault and his wife Donna, Michael Archambault and his wife Lori, MaryJo Archambault and her husband Rick, David Archambault and his wife Gretchen. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. His sister Doris and many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends who will remember him for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love of family. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at All Saints Church, 25 School Street, Somersville, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will take place at Somers Center Cemetery.
