Dean A. Aman, 46, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at WellSpan York Hospital. Born January 11, 1978 in Jamestown, ND, he was the son of Albert J. Aman and the late Karen K. Schock Aman.
Dean earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Missouri State University. He later completed PhD degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice also from Missouri State University. He was employed most of his life as a Psycho Therapist, starting his own business, Dean Aman and Associates, in 2012. Dean loved Civil War history and reading. He also enjoyed watching videos on TikTok.
In addition to his father, Dean is survived by his companion, Dawn Cannon of Chambersburg; six children, Haliena Aman-Clegg (Logan Clegg) of Ozark, MO, Gabrielle Aman of Livingston, MT, and Leighann Smallwood (Labronte Hilliard), William Smallwood, Lyric Cannon, and Dumon Cannon (Shaylah), all of Seaford, DE; three grandchildren, Layden Hilliard, Raeloni Boyer and Koa Cannon; and his brother, Tyler Aman (Andrew Maresh) of Eden Prairie, MN.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 AM prior to the service. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
