Dean Wenger Bricker (96) passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Mercy House in Chambersburg. He was born July 16, 1928, to the late Eli and Margaret Wenger Bricker in Chambersburg.
Dean was a dairy farmer by trade. He was the third generation to farm the family farm near Edenville. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting. Dean was an active member of the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, serving on many of the commissions and serving as a deacon for many years.
He is survived by his son, Larry Bricker (Lana), daughter, Linda Metcalfe (Mike), granddaughters, Alison Gonce (Jeff), Anita Newman (Eric), Michaela Robinson (Jared), grandson, Adam Bricker (Lisa), and great grandchildren, Ben Gonce, Matthew Gonce, Elizabeth Bricker, Emily Newman, Michael Newman, Mireya Newman & Eli Newman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl and brothers, Martin, Andy and Paul Bricker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 10, at 11 AM at the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, 260 S. 4th Street, Chambersburg with Pastor Mark Baliles officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St, Thomas Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, 260 S. Fourth Street, Chambersburg, 17201.
