The funeral service for Dean Brockman, 90, of Burnsville, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Following a funeral luncheon, interment will take place at the Echo Cemetery in Echo, MN.
Dean Lewis Brockman was born on Friday, May 11, 1934 in Echo, Minnesota, to Leo and Rhoda (Olson) Brockman. He was baptized and confirmed in his Christian faith at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. He grew up in Echo, attending Echo Public School and graduating from Echo High School in 1953. Dean served in the Navy as an Electrician's Mate on the USS Whitehurst from November 17, 1955-October 18, 1957. On November 7, 1959, he was united in marriage to Sharon Arndt at Peace Lutheran Church, and they lived in Echo until moving to Burnsville in 1996. Dean and Sharon farmed near Echo. When they left the farm in 1986, they moved to Eden Prairie, Minnesota. They later moved to Burnsville in 1996.
Dean, over the course of his life, worked as a truck driver, a property caretaker, and as a retail associate at Knox Lumber and Fleet Farm. Sharon passed away on August 24, 2003. Dean was united in marriage to Bea Moe on May 27, 2008, at Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Bloomington.
Dean Lewis Brockman, 90, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He is survived by wife Bea; children Vicky Brockman (Michael Kopp), David Brockman (Carmen), Deanne Visto (Marty); step-children Don (Martha) Johnson and Michael Johnson; five grandchildren Dylan Visto, Haley (Nicholas) Moen, Ella (Vincent Vongsy), Jenna and Ethan Brockman; brother Steve Brockman (June), nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Sharon Brockman, parents Leo and Rhoda Brockman, sister Marie (Brockman) Stengel, and brother Jon Brockman.

Our deepest condolences go out to The Brockman family. I remember having dinner with Bea and Dean. Dean loved cooking on the grill. And he was a great grill master. May he rest in peace and be with the angels in heaven.
