Mr. Dean Edwards of Albany, Kentucky passed away peacefully at his residence in Clinton County, Kentucky, on Monday, August 4, 2025, having attained the age of 83 years, 4 months and 23 days. He was born on Thursday, March 12, 1942, in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of Carl & Myrtle (Fitsgerald) Edwards. Dean was of the Christian faith and spent most of his working life as a farmer. In his free time, he enjoyed trading, buying and selling. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by his wife on August 2, 2025, Sue Lee (Duvall) Edwards, whom he wed on Wednesday, August 16, 1961, daughter, Vicky (Edwards) Brooking, sisters, Glomia Duvall, and brother-in-law, John Rains.

He was survived by his daughter, Charlotte Kay (& Jimmy) Smith, of Albany, Kentucky, siblings, Betty Raines, Loretta Edwards, brother-in-law, Jack Duvall, grandchildren, Ryan (& Hillary) Brooking, Carli (& Nathan) Boils, and Madison (& Cory) Lovelace, great-grandchildren Trace Brooking, Bella Brooking, Everly Brooking, Rylee Brooking, Rhett Boils, Jax Boils, Willow Lovelace, and Ezra Lovelace.

A joint funeral service for Mr. & Mrs. Edwards was conducted on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Duvall, Bro. Ricky Duvall, and Bro. Nathan Boils officiating. Burial was in the Edwards Chapel Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Ryan Brooking, Trace Brooking, Cory Lovelace, Nathan Boils, Jimmy Smith, Roger Duvall, Donnie Duvall and Stevie Rains.

Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky, was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
