Dean Hester Obituary

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, son of the late Ralph Armond and Doris Peace Hester, he was a graduate of Limestone College, a United States Army Veteran where he served active duty in Germany and Vietnam during the Vietnam War, before returning to Greer, South Carolina. Dean worked as a manager of information systems. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities, such as camping, hiking, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, woodworking, bicycling, photography, reading and spending time with his family. Mr. Hester loved to make people laugh and will be remembered and missed.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Sandra Phillips Hester; two sons, Jacob Anthony Hester (Katrina) and Wade Patick Hester (Adrienne); and five grandchildren.
Mr. Hester was predeceased by two brothers, Timothy Dale Hester and Darrell Armond Hester.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Burnsview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Huckabee.
The family will receive friends following the service.
