Dean Novak

Mr. Dean Novak of Radom, IL departed this life at his residence on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 8:07 A.M. He had attained the age of 80 years, 9 months and 13 days.

Paul Dean was born on December 16, 1944, at home in rural Ashley, IL, the son of Paul L and Frances (nee Siegman) Novak.

Dean proudly served his country in the United States Marines completing a tour of duty in Vietnam as the rank of Sergeant. After returning home Dean built a life centered on family. He married his beloved wife Wanda Lukasik on May 20, 1967 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL. He shared 58 wonderful years of marriage and together they raised 4 children. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL and the Waltonville VFW Post 9153. Dean loved his family dearly and was a dedicated farmer. He enjoyed spending his free time going side by side riding, playing the slot machines and he enjoyed his Busch Light.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Wanda Novak of Radom, IL; 4 children, Denise Liggett and Debra Dickinson and husband David all of Radom, IL, Doug Novak and wife Jeanne and Darrel Novak and wife Lezlee all of Ashley, IL; grandchildren, Joseph (Parrish Dunbar) Liggett, Breanne Liggett, Caitlin (Preston French) Dickinson, Riley (Zac) McConachie, Kyle (Karley) Dickinson, Tannyr (Caitlin) Novak, Quayd (Kailie) Novak, Gavyn Novak, Peyton (Brandon) Fortag and Dalton (Natalya) Novak; 7 great grandchildren, Carter, Jolie, Stella, Carsyn, Makynleigh, James, Lillia, and Baby Liggett on the way; brother, Kenneth (Rosemary) Novak of Ashley, IL; sister, Pauline (Wallace) Williams of Oakdale, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Novak; father and mother-in-law, Alex and Josephine Lukasik; sister, Arline Zouglas and son-in-law, Jeff Liggett.

Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 1 P.M. with Fr. George Williams Nwachukwu officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Michael Catholic cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 110.

If you are unable to make the funeral services, please feel free to come to the Radom Hall later for a celebration of Dean's life.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Michael Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
