in Miami, FL. He later moved with his family to St. Lucie County, where he attended the public schools.
Dean moved to Indian River County in later years where he worked in the food service industry for a variety of restaurants throughout town. Dean often enjoyed tailoring and designing his own clothes.
On April 3, 2025, Dean Porter life's book was closed.
He leaves behind his daughter, Deneen Porter and five grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Porter, Parrish Porter, Keith Slates, Ervin Carswell and Torrance Hines; sisters, Deneen Bigham and Sabrina Cromes; four uncles, six aunts, cousins and special friends, Tony Zorbauth (I.M.Ministries), Loretta Scott and Jackie Gayton
