Dean T. Tuttle, 93, of Brielle, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Dean was born in Dover, NJ to his parents S. Templeton and Anna Tuttle in 1931.

He was a 1950 graduate of Dover High School and a graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in 1957, after serving in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1955. Along with his first wife Carolyn he raised his four sons in Mine Hill, NJ where he lived until his retirement.

He was a Funeral Director and Owner of Tuttle Funeral Home for 49 years, during which he moved Tuttle Funeral Home from Dover to Randolph, NJ, in 1973. After retiring in 2002, Dean moved to Brielle, NJ.

Following his father's footsteps, Dean was a former member of the Dover Fire Dept. and remained busy into retirement as an active member of the National Funeral Directors Association, The Manasquan Elks, and the Brielle Fire Company (Fire Police). A huge sports fan, Dean enjoyed attending and watching NY Yankees and NY Giants games as much as playing tennis and golf during his snowbird years in Jupiter, Florida.

Dean was predeceased by his parents S. Templeton and Anna Tuttle, his first wife and mother of his children Carolyn in 1996, son Jay Tuttle in 2014, brother Samuel "Tim" Tuttle in 2018, and his sister Carol Ann Esposito in 2025. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Tuttle of Brielle, NJ, his children Dean G. Tuttle and his wife Ikram of Randolph, NJ, Dr. Gregg H. Tuttle and his wife Karen of Mooresville, NC, and Todd M. Tuttle and his wife Kelly of Randolph, NJ. Dean is also survived by his stepson Mark and his wife Molly Stopa of Foxboro, MA, and Matthew and his wife Sharon Stopa of Hernando, MS. Dean was the cherished grandfather of Amanda and her husband Gabe, Christian and wife Emma, Carolyn and her husband Jonathan, Justin, Sara, Luis, Claudia, Gretchen and his great granddaughter June; as well as step grandchildren Brittany, Courtney, Kendall, Joseph, Thomas, and April, nine step great grandchildren Jose, Evelyn, Daniel, Matthew, Mackenzie, Gabriel, Madison, Aubree, Vanessa, Avery, and Hudson, and great great grandson Ezra.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 3:00-7:00 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 25, 2025, to begin 10:00 am at St. Denis Church, 90 Union Avenue, Manasquan, NJ. There will also be a Visitation on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 3:00-7:00 pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Hwy 10 Randolph, NJ 07869. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday August 5, 2025, at Tuttle Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, 168 North Sussex St., Dover, NJ.
