Joseph E. Lombardi, 76, passed away on July 30, 2025.

Born on September 1, 1948, to the late Anna and Joseph Lombardi, Joe grew up in Dover, New Jersey, and graduated from Dover High School in 1966. He went on to earn a degree in business from Marquette University. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Thailand. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career with the Erie Lackawanna Railroad-later New Jersey Transit-where he worked for over 30 years.

Joe and his beloved wife, Anyte, made their home in Randolph, New Jersey, where they spent nearly 25 happy years together.

He is survived by Anyte, his loving wife of 26 years; his stepson, Jason Browe; and his cherished grandchildren, Thomas and Sophie. Joe also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Ann Conover and Patricia Fisher (Steve); his brother, Ray Lombardi (Lynda); his sister-in-law, Linda Stanziale; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joe had a passion for cooking and loved preparing meals for friends and family. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid football fan, especially of his beloved Green Bay Packers. A lifelong enthusiast of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western and Lehigh & Hudson River railroads, Joe was also a dedicated model railroader.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 3:00-7:00 PM located at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 7, at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum in Dover.
