8.29.1939 - 10.12.2025
Deanna “Pip” Baron passed away while on hospice, with her family by her side, on October 12, 2025. Pip, a lifelong resident of Leominster, loved being a grandmother. Among her greatest joys were visiting with her many grandchildren at York Beach, Maine. For the Baron family, she fostered a love of salty air, sandy toes and Nubble Lighthouse.
Pip was born in Leominster to the late Pearl and Paul Rainville. She attended Leominster High School and met her late husband, Leon (Lee) Baron. They married and settled on Cotton Street to raise their family. Pip worked as a home health aide, then later as a nurse’s aide for Leominster Public Schools. Lee was a Leominster firefighter, and she took great pride in being a fireman's wife. Together they raised three sons: Lee, Steven and Daniel.
Pip loved to knit, creating scarves and hats for friends and family. She was an amazing seamstress, always willing to sew elaborate Halloween costumes for her grandkids! As a member of the Leominster Art Association, she showed her paintings and cross-stitch work, winning ribbons at the yearly art show. Being part of the Baron family meant Sunday dinners and summer pool parties. Pip loved to bring her family together, especially over a big pot of homemade sauce with spaghetti.
Pip is survived by her family that loved her, Lee and Sandra Baron, Steven Baron and Louise Campbell and Daniel and Cheri Baron. Beloved by her grandchildren: Christina and husband Matthew Robles, Lindsay and husband Daniel Lazzara, Brent and partner Desirea Lacross, Jason and wife Katelyn, Alyssa and husband Ronald Nowaczewski, and Kelsey and partner Blair Mothersbaugh. And adored by her great-grandchildren: Natalie, Landyn, Harper, Violet, Maia, Jared, Robin and Lennox. Pip also leaves her sisters Paula Cardinal, Jane Bilotta and the late Nancy Janciatis, as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Community Hospice House (HHHC.org) 210 Nanticook Rd, Merrimack, NH 03054.The Baron family is grateful to Community Hospice House for the kindness and care shown to Pip in her final days.
