Deanna A. (Eberly) Holtzapple, 83, of Red Lion, passed away at Inners Creek Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Holtzapple. They had been married more than 60 years.
Mrs. Holtzapple was born in Dallastown on June 30, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Wilmer H. and Gladys A. (Thompson) Eberly.
Deanna was a graduate of York High. She worked in the cafeteria for the Red Lion School District and also worked for the Chapel Church Daycare. Deanna was a member of Chapel Church. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains and taking trips to Chincoteague. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her most cherished title was "Nana".
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Nace and her husband Larry; son, Dean R. Holtzapple; grandchildren, Jamie Garee and her husband Alan Peck, Kenny Nace and his wife Kira; great grandchildren, Alyssa Tracy and her husband Shaun, E. Tyler Garee and his wife Rachel, Landen Garee and Kasen Nace. She is also survived by her great-great grandson, Dylan Tracy; sisters, Nadine Ludwig, and Linda Ludwig, as well as nieces and a nephew.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Chapel Church, 3050 Cape Horn Rd. Red Lion, PA 17356, with Pastor Joshua Wargo officiating. A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Saturday, and will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will be private.
