DeAnna J Reichart

DeAnna Jean Reichart age 84 of Murray , passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on December 19, 2025, in Murray, Nebraska. Born on May 28, 1941, in Murray, Nebraska to John J. and Mildred A. (Burton) Stones.

DeAnna was raised on the family farm outside of Murray, Nebraska, after graduating from Plattsmouth High School in 1958, she continued to assist her parents in farming. Through mutual friends she met Fred Reichart from Louisville and the two were later married on November 1, 1963 at the Murray Christian Church. She worked for many years as a school bus driver for Conestoga Public Schools. Throughout the years she also ran the Beaver Lake Concession Stand and delivering the Omaha World Herald.

DeAnna was a talented seamstress, known for her exquisite creations, from clothing to Barbie outfits, and was especially passionate about quilting. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, bowling, canning, and cooking, where she delighted in baking Christmas candies and pies. She enjoyed camping and fishing excursions, with her favorite moments being those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her later years, she found joy in computer activities, particularly playing solitaire.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Reichart of Murray, NE son, Jeff Reichart of Ralston, NE and two daughters, Jennifer (Don) Hobscheidt of Murray, NE and Heidi (Brant) Christiansen of Glenwood, IA and her treasured grandchildren: Taryn Reichart, Madison Hobscheidt, Alexis Christiansen, and Benn Christiansen.  She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Kenny) Polzin, along with nieces and nephews.

DeAnna was preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Stones, and her son, Jamie Reichart

A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on January 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Murray Christian Church.
