Deanne "Dee" Carol Meyer was born on December 26, 1940, in Jamaica, New York to Arthur and Madeline Keys. She had two sisters, Alice and Lauren. She grew up in South Ozone Park, NY and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1958. After graduation, she went to work at Johns Mansville in Manhattan as an executive secretary.

In 1960, she was introduced to her future husband, John, by a mutual friend on the NYC subway. They were married two years later on August 26, 1962. On August 26, 1964, their first son, John Kurt was born on the Marine base in Quantico, Virginia. The following year, they left Virginia to return to NY. They went on to have three more children, Tracey, Mark and Lori. In 1982, the family moved to Plainview, NY where John took a job as Rector of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. They remained in Plainview for 20 wonderful years until relocating to Sheridan, WY to be close to their grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family and listen to opera and classical music.

Deanne loved being a wife, mother and grandmother above anything else. She will be remembered for her unending, unconditional love and her gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, John, son John Kurt (Regan Wilders) of Woodbury, C.T, daughter, Tracey (Brian) Blocker, grandsons Riley, Dylan and Jeffy of Mesa, Arizona, son Mark (Alicia) Meyer of Salem, Oregon, grandsons, grandsons, Matthew and Justin and daughter, Lori Karajanis of Sheridan, grandsons Shane and Ryan.

A private family service will be held next summer.
