Dudley -The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors announce the earthly transition of Prophetess Debbie Wade Baker, 60. Prophetess Baker transitioned Monday at the Rex UNC Health Care, Raleigh, NC.
The Family will receive guests from 2 PM until 8 PM beginning on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the home of her brother :

Debbie Ann Baker was born on November 14, 1963, to the late Curtis Odell and Annie Mae Wade in Goldsboro, NC. She transitioned to her eternal home on December 11, 2023, at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC.
Debbie attended Wayne County Public Schools and was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School in the year 1983. She furthered her education by attending Texas Community College in Ft. Hood, TX, and completed her certification to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Debbie's occupational history consisted of her employment at nursing home facilities, in which she thoroughly enjoyed working with the elderly.
Debbie was raised in Goldsboro, NC under the spiritual instruction of her parents along with her 4 brothers and sister. Born and raised in North Carolina, she also got the opportunity to travel and live in various countries and states such as Germany, New Jersey, Washington, Georgia, Hawaii, and Texas.
Debbie's faith was of utmost importance, attending her home church, Ram in the Bush Holy Church, of Dudley, NC under the leadership of her mother, Pastor Annie Wade. She served as an associate minister and in the capacity of her gift of prophecy as a member. She could often be heard on Sunday mornings singing songs, testifying, and exalting others. Debbie held dear to her heart her extended church family and looked forward to fellowshipping when she was able. Her unwavering faith kept her through every trial, sickness, and test. Her testimony has always been "I believe God".
Debbie was a dedicated mother of 6 children, together with Eugene Baker (LaGrange) she had Jermaine Wade (Faith), Shonte Stallings (Robert), Sade Baker (Charlie), Shelly Shealy (Jahel), Eugenia Brooks (Jonathan), and Eugene Baker. Debbie purposely created memories with her children, memories that have transcended to her grandchildren. She adored her role as a grandmother of 13: Caleb, Michiah, Jadon, Nathaneel, Alexandria, Anarie, Zaevion, Aniyah, Immanuel, Alivia, JoNathan, Elijah, and Amare. She also held a special love for her great-nephew, Prince Rouse. Her love and faith will live on in the seeds she has planted in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.
Debbie was known by her children and grandchildren for her love of gift-giving during Christmas, although her list was long, she never missed anyone.
Debbie was also a dedicated daughter. She shared a special bond with her mother. The two would often spend their days running errands, visiting friends, and eating at their favorite restaurant, McCalls. If they were gone for an extended period of time, a hair appointment was certainly on the agenda for the day. Her mother often took time to pray for and encourage Debbie when her days were rough. And when a victory was won they would dance together. A priceless relationship was shared between them.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Wade, Sr.; sister, Sharon Wade Hobbs; and sister, Annette Wade.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory 5 brothers: John Wade (Kerri), Curtis Wade, Jr. (Wyneva), Jerage "Roy" Atkinson, Alton "Peaches" McCoy, all of Goldsboro; Curtis Wade of Florida, one sister Carlena Wade of Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
