Donna S. Baker, born November 7, 1958, in Granite City, Illinois, entered her eternal rest on August 17, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Donna was a woman of great faith who dedicated her life to Jesus Christ at a young age. As the devoted wife of a pastor, she gave herself fully to serving others, offering encouragement and guidance to those walking out their own faith journeys. She was richly gifted and multi-talented—an accomplished seamstress, musician, singer, speaker, writer, and designer, among many other roles. Her professional career included serving as a bookkeeper for three administrative offices in the Church of God for 15 years. Most recently, she served faithfully as the Music Pastor at SpiritLife Church, where she led the congregation in heartfelt worship each week.
Beyond her many roles, Donna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She carried a God-given ability to speak knowledge, understanding, and wisdom into the lives of those around her, leaving a legacy of faith and love for her family and community.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Henry E. Hindman; her mother, Georgia R. Enyart Hindman; her brother, Randy; and her grandparents.
Donna is survived by her husband, Rob, her faithful partner of 46 years. She also leaves behind her son, Jonathan (Stevie); daughter, Eryn (Justin); four grandchildren—Ben, Jovie, Harper, and Henry—along with two “extra” grandchildren, Ben and Vincent. Donna is also survived by her siblings, Beverly, David (Jacque), and Ron (Laura).
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at SpiritLife Church, 6901 Outer Loop, Louisville, Kentucky 40228. Visitation will be from 3:00–5:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 5:00 PM.
Donna will be remembered as a faithful servant, devoted wife, cherished mother and grandmother, and a true worshipper whose life reflected her unwavering love for Christ.
