Linda Burt Green born on April 4, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in her beloved city of Louisville. She was a cherished member of her community and left an indelible mark during her impressive career spanning 34 years with the Revenue Commission for the City of Louisville and Louisville Metro.

A proud graduate of Durrett High School in the class of 1969, Linda embodied the spirit and values of the city she called home. Her career was characterized by dedication, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to her work.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Linda was passionate about crafting, particularly knitting and crocheting. Her hands were never idle; she often had a baby blanket ready for anyone in need. This creativity was shared with fellow enthusiasts as a member of the Mary Queen of Peace Craft Club. Additionally, she was an ardent supporter of her grandchildren's activities, fiercely rooting for every team they represented, illustrating her profound love for family. Linda found joy in adventures, embarking on numerous trips that contributed to a lifetime of cherished memories.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Johann "John" Green and by her son, Michael Burt (Lisa), her step-children, Christopher Green (Tracy), Jessica Hogan (Glenn), and Anna Green, along with her grandchildren, Tanner Burt and Connor Hogan. She also leaves behind her adopted daughter, Macy, who was an important part of her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Mary Tanner; her first husband, Patrick Burt; and her brother, Anthony Hovekamp. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping her life, and their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
