Rick Isenberg, a beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 7, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on February 9, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, he dedicated much of his life to both his career and his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
Rick was the proud owner and operator of Commonwealth Security Systems. Later in his career, he served as a maintenance technician for the local cable company. Rick had a special love for performing card tricks, which endeared him to many. An avid woodworker, he took great pride in crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his passion and creativity. His interests extended to being a devoted fan of the University of Louisville and enjoying the game of golf, which provided him with countless moments of joy.
Rick is survived by his children, Chris Isenberg and Morgan Cameron (Cash), and his grandchildren, Grayson, Ivory, and Penny Cameron, who will carry his memory in their hearts. He also leaves behind his siblings: Carolyn DeLeo, Judy Storer (Zane), Joyce Vigus (Ron), Dianna Smith (Craig), Doug Isenberg, Mike Isenberg (Michelle), Kim Vincent, Bryan Isenberg, and Jason Isenberg (Wendy). Additionally, Rick is cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O'Dell and Ilo Isenberg, who undoubtedly shaped the compassionate and hardworking man he became.
Visitation and funeral services to honor Rick's life will be held on October 12, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. The visitation will start at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM.
Rick Isenberg will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune to know him, remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his generous spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
