Jaxson Paul Capito

On August 17, 2025, the Lord called home one of his own, after a tragic motorcycle accident, Jaxson Paul Capito, 21, of Louisville, Kentucky. Though our hearts are heavy, we stand firm in the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Jaxson was a bright light in this world - full of energy, laughter, and love. He enjoyed working with his Union buddies at "RCS". He had a passion for anything with wheels, for weekends at the lake, and time in the woods. He loved music, especially karaoke, and he loved to be the life of the party. But more than these things, Jaxson loved his family and friends deeply. His smile and his spirit could lift a room, and his presence brought joy to all who knew him. Jaxson leaves behind many who will cherish his memory: his parents, Jason Paul Capito and Tiffany Capito, his mother, Tonya Byrd; his sister, Jordan, and his brothers, Isiah and Jayden. He is also survived by his grandparents Robert & Monica Capito, Francine Capito, Reba and Rick Rankin; his uncles Bobby (Kelly) and Nathaniel; his aunt Christi; cousins Tyler and (Camryn), Baylie, Justice, Skylar and Robbie; his girlfriend McKayla; and a host of loving family members and dear friends. He is preceded in his passing by his niece, Emery Hope Capito, and his beloved friends Cooper and Jayson. Though Jaxson's time with us was short, his impact was everlasting. His laughter echoes in our hearts, his love binds us together, and his memory reminds us to live fully and love deeply. We entrust him now into the loving arms of our Savior, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, only everlasting joy. Pallbearers are Kalix, Tyler C., Bobby, Cam, Tyler B., Brennan, Matt, Papaw, Isiah, Devon, Mason, Jayden. Visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Owens Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216. A celebration of Jaxson's life will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Community Church, 10600 Lower River Road, Louisville, KY 40272. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216.
