Debbie Brown

Deborah Lynn Brown, age 69, passed away at her residence in Woodburn, Kentucky on February 14, 2024. She was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on December 16, 1954 to the late John Herbert and Carolyn Lee (Helmon) Gore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother John Michael Gore.
Debbie, as she was affectionately known, served as the office secretary for Broadway United Methodist Church and Woodburn Baptist Church for many years. In her free time she enjoyed teaching others, with her husband David, Country Western and Line Dancing. She and David are members of Rich Pond Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, David Nelson Brown. Three sisters; Virginia Kay Hollars and husband Miles, Marcy Jo Duncan and husband Greg, and Sharon Faye Burks and husband Scott. Nephews; Aaron Caleb Gore and John Raymond Hollars, and niece Misty Dawn Hollars. Great niece Carolyn Ann Bandy and great nephew Andy Apple-New. A host of extended family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodburn City Cemetery.
