Debbie Burt

Debbie Burt, 64, of Granbury, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 5th, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born on July 24, 1961, in Big Spring, Texas, to James and Ann Fitts.
In 1981, she married the love of her life and best friend, Scott Burt. For 44 years, they shared a deep and steadfast love, building a family and a life together that reflected joy, devotion, and faithfulness to Jesus and each other. Debbie was the proud mother of three daughters-Callie, LeDawn and Codye-who were the joy of her heart. She poured her life into her family with selfless love and strength, and her legacy of kindness and faith will continue through them. She was also a beloved mentor and friend, known for her listening ear and her faithful reminder, hand lifted high: "I trust You, Jesus."
Debbie is survived by her husband, Scott; her daughters and sons-in-law, Callie and Josh Green, LeDawn and Josh Liles, and Codye and Matt Weaver; her sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Jerry Stout; and her cherished grandchildren-Boston, Hayley, Jaxson, Gideon, Gryffon, Torron, Ava, Ella, Berklee, Finlee, Marleigh, Ellye, Deacon, Brighton, and the grand baby who went to heaven, whom we know she already holds in her arms. And her faithful pup, Lolli.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ann Fitts.
Her life will be celebrated on Friday, January 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Granbury Baptist. The family will receive guests at 1pm prior to service. Debbie desired this time to be centered on worship and welcomes everyone to come just as they are casual and comfortable.

Her faith in Jesus carried her through every season. Debbie lived with grace, laughter, and love until the very end. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
