Debbie Sue Elkins, 63, of Columbus passed from this life Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

She was born on May 4, 1962, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the daughter of Freddie D. Priddy and Betty L. McNicholas McKee.

On December 7, 1986, Debbie's heart found its partner, and she married Charles L. Elkins Sr., with whom she built a life filled with laughter, support, and endless love. Together, they raised a family that would be the center of Debbie's world. Debbie's life was a tapestry of moments shared with her cherished family-her husband, Charles Sr., her children, Tonya Elkins of Franklin, Chris (Carrie) Elkins of Columbus, and Charles "CJ" (Brittany) Elkins Jr. of Seymour, grandchildren, Brianna Elkins, Braiden Hahn, Macy Schneck, Morgan Schneck, Jacob Elkins, Madyson Elkins, Collin Elkins, Emma Elkins, Hannah Elkins, and Loretta Elkins, great-granddaughter, Stella Jean Hahn; and her sister, Sherry Stults. The love and memories created will endure as Debbie's most beautiful legacy.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents.

Debbie's artistic spirit thrived through her passion for art and drawing. She also enjoyed visiting the casino.

Her presence will be deeply missed, yet the memories she has left us with will continue to inspire and comfort us for years to come. Debbie's spirit, ever present and loving, will forever be woven into the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.

In keeping with Mrs. Elkins' wishes, cremation will take place and private family services will take place.

Online condolences and special memories may be shared with the Elkins family at barkesweaverglick.com.
