Debbie Irene Mowery, born on November 29, 1961, in Copperhill, TN, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Cleveland, TN. With her High School Diploma in hand, Debbie devoted her life to serving others as a school bus driver for Headstart, where she cherished every moment with the children and families she encountered.
A dedicated Christian, Debbie found joy in her faith and was an active member of her church community. She loved singing and playing the piano alongside her son, Joel, her late husband, David, and her sisters, Cindy and Lisa. Music was a deep expression of her love and devotion, bringing comfort and joy to those around her. Debbie's unwavering faith made her a beloved prayer warrior, always ready to uplift others with her fierce spirit of support and compassion.
Debbie's greatest passion was her family. She is survived by her cherished son, Joel Lawson, and daughter-in-law, Donna Lawson. She loved her family with great dedication and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her incredible ability to empathize and her willingness to listen made her the cornerstone of her family and community.
Debbie's life will be celebrated and remembered through a funeral service to be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to honor her beautiful spirit and the countless lives she touched. In her passing, we find solace in the joyful memories created and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.

Family and friends will be welcome at a visitation on Sunday September 28, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and a funeral service at 3:00 pm at the Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Rd. Cleveland, TN 37311. Burial to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
