Joshua A. Mowery

JOSHUA A. MOWERY, age 36, of Piqua, OH passed away on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. He was born on October 10, 1988 in Dayton, OH to Deborah Mowery of Piqua, OH.
Joshua is survived by his girlfriend of 11 years Angel Sturgeon of Piqua, OH. He is also survived by his three children: Joshua A. Mowery, Jr, Piqua, OH, Madison Dennis of OH and Aubrey Mowery of Piqua, OH; one sister: Alisha Mowery, Springfield, OH and one brother and sister-in-law: Jacob (Amanda) Mowery of Piqua, OH; many aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews. Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Howard Eugene Mowery on July 10, 2002 and his maternal grandmother: Florence Elizabeth Mowery on February 24, 2020.
Joshua struggled with his health all of his life, but despite his challenges he chose to work in the manufacturing industry where he was able to provide for his family and children. He enjoyed playing video games, playing basketball and watching all types of movies. Joshua was an avid Los Angeles Charger's fan. He especially loved going on walks and going out to restaurants with his family.
A Celebration of Joshua's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday February 10, 2025 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH with Pastor Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, OH. The family of Joshua will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at funeral home.
