Jerry L. Ammon, age 75, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Tuesday July 22,2025 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation. He was born April 23,1950, in Piqua, OH to the late Elza A. and Margaret V. (Russell) Ammon. He married Tawana Perando on December 27, 1978, in Indiana and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2023.
He is survived by two grandchildren: Olivia Ammon and Lydia Ammon; one sister: Pam Verhanes and husband David, one cousin: Bev Burns and husband James Jr., and his very close friends who became his family: Blake Cruishank and wife Debra. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife Connie A. Ammon and his son Brian A. Ammon.
Jerry graduated from Tipp City High School and was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church. He was a toolmaker and retired from Clopay Garage Doors in 2021. Throughout his life, he took time to enjoy the journey. Jerry and his wife were in a band together and he loved to perform and play guitar; he even had his own recording studio at home for many years that he often shared with others. He owned and operated BA's Speed Shop in Piqua and found joy in going to the gun range, watching drag racing and working on cars, he liked to make things go fast.

A Time to Honor Jerry's Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua, Ohio.
