MARY A. BRIDGES, age 79, of Piqua, OH, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Friday December 27, 2024 in her residence. She was born in West Union, OH on December 15, 1945 to the late Roy and Emma (Dye) Ode. Mary married James T. Bridges on February 6, 1965 in West Union, OH. James preceded her in death on June 29, 2017.
Mary is survived by five children: Irene (Greg) St. Clair, Fairborn, OH; Roger Bridges (Anita Napier), Piqua, OH; Kenny (Diana) Bridges, Piqua, OH; Nancy (Bryan) Ferryman, Piqua, OH; Pegi (Tim) Anderson, Lake City, FL; one brother: Bill Ode, Newark, OH; three sisters: Freda Fries, Piqua, OH; Ruby Setty, Otway, OH and Beth Atwell, Indianapolis, IN; fourteen grandchildren: Maranda, Tiffany, Ashlee, Travis, Brooke, Courtney, Mikayla, Corbin, Jolene, Tabitha, Nicole, Emily, Mia and Tyler; 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Fred Ode, Eugene Ode, Dennis Ode and one sister: Donna Kay Ode.
Mary graduated from West Union High School. She was a member of the Piqua Apostolic Church. Mary worked as a school Monitor at Piqua Christian School for several years and worked for Piqua Memorial Hospital for four years.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday January 3, 2025 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH. The family will receive friends on Friday January 3, 2025 from 11:00 a.m.to1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Immediately following the graveside service, a meal will be provided at the Piqua Apostolic Church, 830 Covington Ave. Piqua, OH. 45356.
