Robert is survived by five children: Danielle (Dean) Howard, Sidney, OH; Angie (Christopher) Woodward, Sidney, OH; Michael Young, Piqua, OH; Bobby (Stephanie) Young, Russia, OH; and Neil Young, Piqua, OH, three brothers: Simon (Scheally) Young, Celina, OH; Rick Young, Piqua, OH; Danny Young, Troy, OH; two sisters: Florence (Mike) Powell, Piqua, OH; Suzie Young, Piqua, OH; ten grandchildren: Jonathan, Jacob, Katelyn, Caleb, Brooke, Kaylee, Wyatt, Whitney, Lane, Annie; and nine great Grandchildren: Robert was preceded in death by three sisters: Edna Young, Omie Jenkins and Peggy Lee.
Robert worked and retired as an Ironworker out of Local # 290 in Dayton, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Robert at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Melcher Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, OH, with Pastor Simon Young officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm To 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 28,2025, prior to service at the funeral home.
